Environmental Safeguard Specialist
  • M.Sc in Environmental Sciences, Minimum 5 years’ experience in state, central or ULB level or Urban Poverty Alleviation, Knowledge of Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Management Plan, Forest Clearances, Environmental Monitoring, Environmental & Social Audit.

Responsibilities :

  • Implementing and supervising Environmental safeguards as per Bank procedures.
  • The work mainly includes review of various documents prepared for safeguards and getting the documents updated based on implementation needs and guiding safeguards staff of the contractor
Social Safeguard Specialist
Suitable Master’s Degree or Equivalent in Social development disciplines-Sociology/Anthropology/Social Work and or and or development studies or a related field. Minimum 10 years’ experience in preparing, implementing and monitoring social safeguards strategies.

Responsibilities :

– The responsibility includes preparing, implementing and monitoring social safeguards strategies and plans and social development schemes associated with infrastructure projects (preferably in Water Supply & Sanitation sector) and having experience in gender program development, progressively responsible for gender mainstreaming, management of strategic Capacity Building on gender.– Should follow /have knowledge of bank procedures and reporting systems
Health & Safety SpecialistSuitable graduation preferably in occupational health, Safety and Environment Management or diploma/training in Safety/EHS from NICMAR or equivalent with 5 years of experience in working on major construction sites.

Responsibilities :

– The responsibility includes advance planning of safety measures/ safety plans in association with the contractor and take all the necessary precautions to avoid any accidents.- Should follow /have knowledge of bank procedures and reporting systems
